A lover of fashion and accessories, Karyn, the founder and CEO of Willow Roe graduated from FIDM and ventured out creating a very successful clothing line that she sold off early on. "I loved making clothing but it presented challenges with fabrics, cuts, dye lots and manufacturing that I grew tired of dealing with. But, I loved this industry and creating beauty. I wanted something longer lasting than seasonal attire."

Unsure of the exact direction, she was encouraged create an accessory line after successfully assisting her husband in many of the bridal and custom designs he was creating as a leading personal jeweler.  "Many times brides, women and men wanted a female perspective on the piece(s) they were creating. I have a very "aesthetic eye" having been in the fashion industry for years and my husband always desired my opinions. I realized working along side Tal, with his customers, that my input was valuable. That was really the beginning of the next chapter for me."

After months of deliberations in the next steps, it was simple and very obvious which direction she should go. She designed a line, with herself in mind, with what she learned along the way. "I love jewelry, it always has a story behind it, carries through
generations and I wanted to create something with more depth and meaning... I also love the way jewelry can dress up the most simple outfits. I am t-shirt and jeans kinda girl in my day to day, but I always love adding some sparkle to fancy it up."

Luckily for her the learning curve was accelerated with a knowledgeable and solid support system to guide her in the fine jewelry making journey. Her husband Tal, a distinguished  private jeweler and GIA certified gemologist, has been in the luxury diamond industry for over 20 years working closely with some of the finest diamond manufacturers all over the world, including his father who is the leading west coast diamond cutter of round brilliant diamonds. Tal has spent years not only perfecting his diamond trade but also specializing in custom fine jewelry and bridal jewelry.

The perfect storm in the most positive outcome was born, Willow Roe Fine Jewelry. She creates custom and fine fashion jewelry and he, the bridalconsultant for her brand. They work closely to together in many aspects. Tal has taken over much of the manufacturing of Willow Roe. Their products are well made with the utmost care and quality.
